Methodology
How this site works
What our DOL disclosure numbers mean, how the PERM processing time calculator uses them, and what we do not do.
What you can use here
Quick links to the main tools (same navigation as the rest of the site).
About the data
Charts and ETA-9089 ranges are built from published DOL disclosure extracts we aggregate (DOL PERM disclosure). Metrics such as median and upper-range days, outcome shares, and filing volumes are computed from that bundle. It is a sample of disclosed cases, not a live feed of every PERM in the country.
Period labels on charts match the disclosure releases we ingest (sometimes a full fiscal year, sometimes a partial quarter). Read the callouts on the trends page when coverage differs by drop.
Updates
We refresh stats when new disclosure files are processed. Current bundle generated: Apr 6, 2026.
Calculator assumptions
The timeline calculator stages PWD (optional), PERM, I-140, and rough I-485-style ranges using your filing month and toggles. The PERM stage uses DOL median and upper-range days when our snapshot has them; otherwise it falls back to broad illustrative timing. Other stages are not individualized legal estimates.
Privacy
You do not need an account to use the calculator or read charts. We aim to minimize collection: no passwords required for core features. If we add optional submissions (for example crowdsourced timelines), we describe how data is aggregated and anonymized. We do not sell personal information for marketing.
Limitations
Numbers here are for planning orientation only. Actual processing depends on:
- Case complexity, audits, and RFEs
- DOL and USCIS workload and policy changes
- Your specific forms, employer, and category
Consult an immigration attorney for strategy; use DOL and USCIS official tools for current government processing statements.
